NordForsk’s call for proposals on migration and integration is now open. Forte is, together with other research funders in Norway, Estonia and Lithuania, a co-funder in the call. The available budget is approximately NOK 62 million for the years 2025–2029.
Focus of the call
Migration and integration are complex and constantly evolving phenomena that require continued research in order to understand and effectively address the challenges and opportunities that arise from the influx of migrants. With a better understanding of the factors that influence the integration process, policymakers and practitioners can develop more effective policies and programmes that support the integration of migrants into the host society.
The call will address the following themes:
- Integration processes and patterns
- Social cohesion and inequalities
- Politics and governance of migration and integration
About the grant
In this call you can apply for one type of grant; project grant. The maximum available amount to apply for is NOK 10.4 million and the project duration can be either three or four years, for the years 2025–2029.
The research projects must include partners from research performing organisations in at least three Nordic countries, or two Nordic countries and Lithuania and/or Estonia. Please note that a research institution in Norway and/or Sweden must be part of the project consortium. The host institution (Project Owner) for the research project must be a research performing organisation based in one of the countries co-funding the call: Sweden, Norway, Estonia and Lithuania.
